MRT Shallow Water USBL Transceiver
The Micro-Ranger Transceiver (MRT) is an extremely small and light, Ethernet interfaced shallow water USBL transceiver, for use with our 6G range of transponders for tracking divers and small underwater drones in lakes, rivers and coastal waters.
This smaller USBL transceiver offers significant operational benefits due to its small, portable size. The MRT is designed to run from Power over Ethernet (PoE), however it is also compatible with ou Ethernet Serial Hub (ESH) which allows it to be used with the Micro-Ranger 2 system.
The MRT uses an integral AHRS sensor which provides pitch, roll and heading data that automatically compensates for the dynamic motion of the vessel, removing the need for an external sensor and pre-use calibration. It’s multi-element processing enables transponders to be accurately positioned down to 995 metres water depth.
When used as part of a complete Micro-Ranger 2 USBL system, all the benefits of the feature rich Ranger 2 software are available, such as output telegrams, positioning displays and diagnostic tools.
