We are seeking an Acoustic Positioning Lead to drive the development and implementation of next-generation subsea positioning and communications solutions. This is a unique opportunity to lead a talented multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists in designing, testing, and deploying cutting-edge technologies that underpin the future of underwater operations.
If you join, what you’ll do

Lead the strategy, design, and development of advanced acoustic positioning systems (USBL, LBL, and beyond).

Guide product development from concept through to launch, ensuring robustness, ease of use, security, and interoperability.

Define and maintain embedded architectures in collaboration with hardware and software teams.

Mentor and inspire a team spanning hardware, software, and test engineering disciplines.

Represent Sonardyne at industry events, technical reviews, and customer engagements.

Stay at the forefront of acoustic navigation and communications technologies to maintain our leadership in the field.
Ideally we are looking for,
-
Degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics.

5+ years’ experience in underwater acoustic systems and embedded systems engineering.

Proven expertise in embedded architecture, system design, and C/C++ programming.

Strong analytical skills and ability to model and evaluate system performance.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence peers, stakeholders, and customers.
It would be a bonus if you had
- experience with USBL and LBL system design, Linux RT embedded applications, system architecture design, and project/program management.
