Sonardyne is seeking a detail-driven Commercial Analyst to join the Commercial team within Sales. This role plays a key part in enabling accurate forecasting, reporting, and data integrity across global sales operations.

Working at the intersection of data, systems, and commercial performance, the successful candidate will support decision-making through high-quality analysis, reporting, and insight generation. They will work closely with regional sales teams and key stakeholders to ensure consistency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across commercial data processes.


If you join, you will be responsible for:

OTE Programme Support

  • Extract and reconcile data from ERP and CRM systems, with further manipulation in Excel where required.
  • Perform advanced Excel modelling, including data mapping, complex formulas, and structured analysis.
  • Identify and resolve data anomalies in collaboration with regional sales teams and sales leadership.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of OTE programme outputs.

Sales Forecasting (Monthly)

  • Support monthly forecasting processes through preparation and validation of data sets.
  • Cross-check outputs across CRM, ERP, and reporting tools (including Salesforce TableauNext and Excel-based models).
  • Maintain and support master forecasting workbooks (as required), ensuring alignment across multiple data sources.

Dashboard & Analytics Development

  • Maintain and enhance existing dashboards and reports, ensuring ongoing accuracy and usability.
  • Develop new dashboards and reporting solutions in response to business needs.
  • Run recurring data validation checks and scheduled updates.
  • Maintain responsibility for Salesforce dashboards and regional reporting requirements, including TableauNext sales and product forecasting tools.

Product Forecasting (Monthly)

  • Update product forecasting models using ERP and CRM data inputs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and the application of AI-driven efficiencies.

Pricing Support

  • Support global pricing requests and associated modelling activity.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of pricing tools used by global sales teams.
  • Assist in resolving pricing-related queries and continuously improve pricing processes.

About the candidate:

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, structured in their approach, and comfortable working with complex data sets across multiple systems. They will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and demonstrate a proactive mindset towards process improvement and automation.

 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Advanced Excel capability (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF statements, and complex formula modelling).
  • Strong analytical thinking with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce preferred).

Desirable

  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Strong commercial awareness and curiosity about business performance drivers.
  • Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders, including senior teams.
