At Sonardyne International Ltd, we’re redefining the future of subsea technology. We’re now looking for a proactive and detail-driven Quality Assurance Lead to join our team at our Blackbushe site and help ensure that every product we deliver meets the highest standards.


If you Join you will:

As the Quality Assurance Lead, play a vital role in safeguarding product quality and compliance with ISO9001 standards. You’ll work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure all products meet design specifications, while driving continuous improvement through process control, inspection, and calibration management.

You’ll also lead and develop the Quality Release Inspector, manage final inspection and release activities, and ensure that our quality management systems operate flawlessly.


You will also have Key Responsibilities of :

  • Lead quality assurance activities across production, engineering, and supplier interfaces.

  • Ensure products comply with all drawings, specifications, and shipping requirements.

  • Develop and maintain FMEAs and Quality Control Plans for all product groups.

  • Conduct detailed inspections of electro-mechanical assemblies and finished goods.

  • Oversee calibration and servicing of test equipment in line with ISO standards.

  • Manage ESD systems, including protected areas and compliance records.

  • Identify, document, and resolve non-conformances, driving root cause corrective actions.

  • Authorise products as “fit for dispatch” and maintain detailed inspection records.

  • Train and support the Quality Release Inspector, fostering a culture of quality excellence.


Ideally we would like:

  • Strong background in engineering or manufacturing quality assurance.

  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, parts lists, and documentation.

  • Experienced in FMEA, process control, and inspection of electrical/electro-mechanical assemblies.

  • Working knowledge of ISO9001, ESD control, and calibration systems.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office and familiarity with MRP systems (e.g., SYSPRO).

It would be a bonus is you had:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification.

  • Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance (IQA).

  • Experience with process auditing and continuous improvement initiatives.
