Are you passionate about technology and eager to kickstart your career in IT?
Sonardyne is looking for a motivated IT Apprentice to join our dedicated IT team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting a global business with its essential IT operations.

 

If You Join you will: 

  • Play a key role in keeping our IT systems running smoothly and supporting employees across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Handling IT requests via calls, emails, and our helpdesk system.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and providing end-user support.
  • Assisting with incident management and escalating when necessary.
  • Ensuring staff have the right IT facilities to perform their roles effectively.
  • Supporting IT projects and departmental objectives.
  • Inducting new employees and promoting IT security best practices.
  • Creating documentation and reports as required.
  • Visiting regional offices when needed to provide IT support.

 

What You’ll Gain:

  • Hands-on experience with technologies like Microsoft Office, Windows 10/11, and networking.
  • Exposure to IT systems such as Active Directory, Microsoft Server, and Office 365.
  • Training in incident management, IT security, and customer service.

Ideally we would like:

  • Customer-focused and passionate about delivering quality service.
  • A strong communicator with good interpersonal skills.
  • Logical, analytical, and able to solve problems effectively.
  • Organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise tasks under pressure.
  • A real team player who enjoys working with others.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows 10/11, networking, antivirus software.
  • GCSEs in Maths, English, and ICT (or equivalent).

 

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Experience with PC builds and IT support techniques.
  • Awareness of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Active Directory, Microsoft Server, and Office 365.
