This role will focus on identifying, developing, and securing profitable sales opportunities across the full Sonardyne product portfolio, with a strong emphasis on the Ocean Science market and an immediate priority on accelerating ADCP product sales.
Working with both existing and prospective customers across a global remit, you will manage the full sales lifecycle—from opportunity identification through proposal development to post-sales support—ensuring an exceptional customer experience and reinforcing Sonardyne’s reputation as a trusted partner and supplier of choice.
This is a highly visible role offering significant international exposure, collaboration with technical experts, and the opportunity to influence future product and commercial strategy.
If you join you will :
- Identify and achieve agreed sales targets with existing and new customers across core and emerging markets
- Drive sales growth using innovative sales approaches and internal technical expertise
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including proposal creation, negotiation, and post-sales support
- Coordinate closely with Sales Administration, Engineering, Project Management, and other internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and high customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with Sonardyne’s commercial processes, approval authorities, discount structures, and contractual requirements
- Review customer contract terms in collaboration with Regional leadership and Risk & Compliance teams
- Actively develop new sales opportunities, with a particular focus on ADCP applications and sales
- Gather, analyse, and present market intelligence and trends related to ADCP applications, competitors, customers, and industry activity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, academic, research, governmental, and trade organisations
- Promote the Sonardyne brand through industry events, conferences, publications, and collaborative partnerships
- Provide regular and accurate sales reporting, including CRM updates, forecasts, visit reports, and management updates
Ideally:

Experience in B2B sales, preferably within marine, ocean science, or technical/engineering-led markets

Sonardyne’s global IT department is responsible for delivering resilient, secure and high-performance systems to colleagues worldwide. We are now seeking an experienced ERP Systems Specialist to take a lead role in the administration, development and optimisation of our SYSPRO ERP environment and associated applications.
This is a key technical position, ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, system enhancement and working closely with business stakeholders to support continuous improvement across the organisation.
About the Role
If successful as our ERP Systems Specialist, you will:

Lead the day-to-day administration of the SYSPRO ERP system and related application/database infrastructure.

Manage system performance, apply patches, configure roles and ensure data security.

Troubleshoot both routine and complex issues, working with colleagues and escalating to vendors where appropriate.

Maintain strong relationships with SYSPRO vendors to ensure optimal support, coverage and proactive development of new functionality.

Deliver system changes and enhancements to support evolving business processes and efficiency initiatives.

Act as the technical lead on ERP-related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, testing and process improvement initiatives.

Develop and maintain documentation for SYSPRO and wider ERP systems.
-
Manage SYSPRO configuration, database tables, debugging and module testing.
-
Create and support reports, integrations, spreadsheets and external data connections to meet business reporting needs.

Identify, design and implement additional functions that extend SYSPRO capability.

Develop and maintain Dataswitch integrations with other systems.
-
Work with stakeholders to analyse business process changes and recommend the most appropriate ERP solutions.

You will also provide indirect guidance to development, infrastructure and support teams involved in ERP applications.
Ideally we would like:

Expert technical knowledge of ERP systems.

Strong Microsoft SQL Server administration skills.

Proficiency in SQL queries, stored procedures and schema understanding.

Experience with database reporting tools.

Advanced Excel use, including functions, macros and data connections.

Strong VBScript/VBA skills.

Dataswitch development and administration experience.

Experience supporting large-scale business process change projects.

Working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Framework/.NET Core.

Minimum A-level education including ICT/Business Studies with equivalent commercial experience.

MCSA SQL Server or equivalent experience.

Understanding of database best practices and standard concepts.

Competence with Office 365 and Power BI.

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, or related discipline;
