We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Sales to facilitate the achievement of profitable sales through facilitating the sales management of the global team, driving effective relationships with key clients and supercharging our agent and reseller network. To succeed in this role you will need to have experience as a sales director or senior sales manager who has experience in selling worldwide both directly and via distributors delivering sales of £20m to £50m per annum. You will be coordinating sales activities across our businesses, ensuring that a consistent go-to-market approach is followed.



To own the Sales Strategy, working with the Sales and Marketing Director, Regional Vice Presidents and our Global Business Management team to deliver the Company strategic objectives.

Responsible for pipeline management and maintaining an accurate quarterly rolling forecast process which is backed by supporting data and analysis.

Supporting high value complex sales contract negotiations.

To run Sonardyne’s Agent and Reseller Network

To further develop the capability of an already high performance sales team.

To own the sales process chain, championing best practice in risk managed sales processes, procedures, systems (e.g. CRM) and standards of performance; enabling consistency of sales approach


The ideal candidate:

Be an experienced sales professional with a significant track record of achievement including enabling distributed sales teams with a proven ability to develop, implement and drive international sales strategies across different market sectors including oil and gas

Have a proven ability to develop, implement and maintain effective sales and commercial processes with an emphasis on continual improvement

Be highly knowledgeable of the subsea and marine technology marketplaces.

Be an experienced situational leader and coach.

Be degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant technical or business discipline.
