About the Role
As our Business Development Manager – North America, you’ll lead the charge in expanding Sonardyne’s reach within the Ocean Science and Marine Robotics sectors. This is a high-impact role, focused on building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering sustainable growth. You’ll collaborate closely with our Houston-based team and the wider UK and global BD functions to align market needs with Sonardyne’s industry-leading technology.

Driving sales of Sonardyne’s advanced instruments, systems, and integrated solutions across North America

Identifying new market opportunities and building key commercial partnerships

Representing Sonardyne at industry events, conferences, and institutions to raise our profile in the region

Collaborating with marketing, sales, and engineering teams to ensure successful product launches and customer satisfaction

Supporting tender submissions, customer account development, and strategic commercial initiatives

Reporting on commercial performance and contributing to sales forecasting and business planning
Ideally we are Looking For
-
5+ years’ experience in business development within the ocean science, marine robotics, or related sectors

Proven ability to grow market share, drive sales growth, and manage a broad portfolio of customer accounts

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across technical and commercial audiences

Ability to work autonomously and manage your own travel (up to 1 week/month)

Based on the US West Coast (preferred), with the flexibility to work remotely

A collaborative, self-starting mindset and a passion for innovation and technology

A well-established professional network within the North American marine science or energy sectors

Previous experience working with Sonardyne technology

Experience developing agent/reseller networks and delivering full commercial campaigns
