Ship Navigation and Situational Awareness Seminar
19 September 9AM • 2017 Finish:
20 September 5PM • 2017 Course Type:
Are you a ship owner, operator or naval architect and interested in navigation and situational awareness technologies, and how they can be used to extend to the capabilities of your vessel, improve safety and lower operational costs? If so, then why not attend one of our free technology workshops that are taking place at our R&D facility in Plymouth this September.
Each day, we’ll be running in-water demonstrations of our surface and subsea navigation and situational awareness sensors. These will include; NOAS – a navigation and obstacle avoidance sonar, Mini-Ranger 2 for tracking underwater targets such as divers and underwater drones, Syrinx Doppler and SPRINT inertial for high integrity navigation in the absence of GNSS. We will be joined onboard by our partners at Guidance Marine who will be demonstrating their complimentary laser and radar based surface position reference sensor technologies.
During the day, we will take a look at how these COTS technologies which are available today, will play a key role in reducing risk and adding capability to the ships of tomorrow.
Places are limited for this free learning event. To find out more or to register your interest, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
