Why train with Sonardyne?

Ever increasing water depths and demand for increased accuracy and reliability has resulted in acoustic positioning systems becoming more complex than ever before. Operating a sophisticated acoustic positioning system is not easy and the cost of getting it wrong may well be unthinkable. Acoustic conditions can change with little or no warning and with no understanding of the likely problems or solutions, the result is inevitable and expensive. Why waste money on downtime when it can be avoided with proper training?

Properly trained personnel removes the risks associated with setting up and using acoustics. Faults are more easily recognised and repaired. Superior and reliable performance becomes the rule rather than the exception. Training simply makes more sense now than ever before.

What courses are available?

- Fusion LBL Positioning including Wideband techniques
- Fusion USBL Positioning including Wideband techniques
- USBL and LUSBL operator courses including Wideband techniques. Options include Version 5 & 6 software and MRAMS

Additionally, courses in repair to board level and maintenance of Sonardyne equipment can be arranged covering PAN, Dunking transducers, Compatts, USBL and SIPS systems.  All courses cover the basics of acoustic theory and include hands-on training with real equipment.

Training either offshore or at your facilities can easily be accommodated in addition to courses at our Sea Trials Centre in Plymouth, South-West England where we can arrange for suitable accommodation and both theory and hands on practical training.

Courses can be tailored to your exact requirements and optionally include third party material if required.  All candidates receive an attendance certificate.
